The felling of tear drops from villages began to start. Again rural areas again reaching back to dry conditions faced prevailed ten years back. Till yesterday Telangana farmer used to sit in pride looking at his fertile land with surplus production. Now again the days of draught make them to fear about their future. Till three months back, entire Telagana remain like green carpet now gradually transforming into dry again. From Adilabad to Khammam there were no complaints on water for farming in the state. Within three months of period why the entire situation turned into topsy-turvy is the biggest question remain carving the minds of average Telangana person. Why the water flown without interruption now began to stop? How all the bore wells and wells facing defunct problem? For what purpose fourteen years relentless fight continued for separate state? Only for water! Unfortunately the state is now again falling in water crisis. Looking at this situation, farmers hearts are began to burn. Is Kaleswaram damaged beyond repairs? Is it the mistake of previous rulers? Inquiry is the best answer for these questions. Not only BRS party but also every person in Telangana asking to make repairs to Kaleswaram project which urgently needed. KCR is also stressing the same thing. ‘If you have enmity on us, we both look at it but it is not good to take revenge on farmers by neglecting Kaleswaram repairs’, this is the opinion expressing by every Telangana person. Why this present Government has been indifferent towards Kalesaram remain a great puzzle. The negligence of this government transforms Telangana into previous form. Separate Telangana is formed only for water, employment and funds. Just computers won’t provide food. Only farmers can give you food with cultivation. Without sufficient water they also can’t do anything. In previous tens of farmers fell in debt trap because of failure of bores. Since ten years such farmers felt like festival and remain happy with surplus yields. KCR transformed farming like festival, in front of those Chandrababu like leaders who ridiculed farming is nothing but loss. Only computer will cause for development. Now they also agreed the fact that farming only the source to provide food for everybody. How much the country is large it shall depend on agriculture. Without agriculture no country can be able to provide food to its people. Governments shall take care on food security. Unfortunate thing is that the present Telangana Government is unable to assess the situation and plight of the farmers.
Those who are playing politics are not bothering about this situation. Water problem already started in Telangana. All the crops are at the edge of dry up. During united state rule, Telanangana farmers never led happy life. Chendrababu himself said one time that, when Telangana people don’t know about rice, Telugudesam party launched Rs.2kg rice scheme. Telangana people never forget those words. But leaders have forgotten what they said. Those lands which were ridiculed by then leaders as unfit for cultivation, now transformed into green carpet with highest yields. Godaviari River water irrigated large folk of lands and transformed them in to wet lands. Unfortunately since there months entire history of fertile Telangana got reversed and lack of water those wet lands are gradually transformed into dry lands. If three years back Kaleswaram project got problem, how KCR gave water to Telangana lands? How KCR was able to fill all the tanks in the state in the process of chain system before the construction of Kaleswaram. As per their saying if Kaleswaram not provided water for single acre of land, now why all the crops gradually drying up? Why farmers eyes are filling with full of tears and the why the dried crops has been utilising as fodder for cattle? How can you imagine that a famer intentionally destroy his crop?
Since came to power KCR highly concentrated on how to give water to farmers without any interruption. If he didn’t think like that how can it possible to supply irrigation water all such lands? When KCR came to power tanks in Telangana were not in good condition. Now these tanks have some moisture. At that time they totally remain in dry condition and all of them filled with plats. It is not such easy to transform such defunct tanks to bring to normal condition. With the help of Mission Bhagiratha KCR successfully filled all the tanks with water. On the bunds of such tanks TRS government had grown tady plants. With his relentless efforts within three years of period KCR successfully filled 46000 tanks with full of water. The silt in the tanks was shifted by farmers to their lands to protect their fertility. Even in night time looking at water that flowing in fields, farmers felt very happy. During ten years period tears never fall from the eyes of farmers. All the farmers enjoyed and felt happy looking at the surplus production of crops in their fields. Once there was one tractor for one village. Now every house hold has one tractor. Paddy harvesting machines were less in number one time. But now they are present in every village. Now those harvesting machines remain silent without work. Why now Telangana has feared of facing draught condition.
Still summer season not yet started. No water for crops and no water for drinking. Already the water problem started in Telangana villages. It is not good for any government remain indifferent towards farmers. Those who questioned about fertilizer supply to farmers, now not asking about water. When Kaleswaram is not working, the method of filling the tanks in the state already prevailed. Why the present Government not doing this work? Why it is not willing to eradicate the problems faced by farmers? Once, Revanth Reddy had been demanded for paying Raitu Bandhu instalments for three crops. Now he became the Chief Minister of the state. Now crops are drying up. If we observe the present situation, farmers have to wait till the advent of monsoon rains in the month of June. If the Government able to maintain full water in all tanks, this situation might not occurred. In these circumstances farmers are eagerly looking for the re-entry of KCR. Farmer has affection against KCR and KCR has affection towards farmers. But these two are in distance away from each other. This is the effect of time!
