Vaddiraju Ravichandra.
This name is well acquainted to everybody in Telangana. He has very much reputation as social leader with humanity filled heart. If anybody comes towards him to ask any type of help, he definitely heeds their request and moves forward to extend his helping hand to solve their problem. Even if he happens to know about the problems faced by those people who know him well, immediately rushed to them and stand in forefront to provide required assistance to them to get rid of the matter difficult of solution. We come across only with small number of such leaders in our present society. In general those who are in well to do in condition, never shows any inclination to help others. But Vaddiraju Ravichandra is not such leader. He is one among the rarest personalities who possess charitable nature and always be ready to support other who are in troubles. Ravichandra always likes to be with people and work for the people. He might not have directly participated in Telangana movement but all those leaders who participated in this movement know well how Vaddiraju extended his support for the movement. He never bothered for his name and fame but wanted to be in behind the screens and continue his activities.
He is great patriot. When the Central government decided to erect police martyrs’ pillar at Delhi he immediately responded and sent freely the granite stone required. At the same time he also sent granite freely for the statue of Subhash Chandra Bose that installed at India Gate, Delhi. This really shows his patriotic nature who never cared for the high cost involved in providing granite in these two occasions. He always likes to be in social service activities. He treats the people who came to him either political leaders or common men, like his family members. He carefully listens to their problems and tries to solve them. Such people are being considered as men with no enemies. Vaddiraju is such leader. In recent we all know well about the devastation caused by floods in Khammam. The people in flood affected areas were unable to come outside from their houses which had surrounded by flood water. All those victims were forced to remain in flood water for seven days. In such a situation Vaddiraju was only leader who served them with food and water till they get rid of that situation. He made all arrangements so supply every day water, milk, food to those victmes in mean time without fail.
Even after flood water receded, he took all steps to supply daily essentials to those victims till they settled in their homes. His services were not only confined to Khammam city but also extended to surrounding villages those faced this flood hawk. He sent his followers to those places where the officials were unable to reach and taken up required service activities. Especially those poor people who suffered a lot during floods received consoling service activities from the leader Vaddiraju Ravichandra. During Corona pandemic he rendered his services throughout Telangana State. He spent crores of rupees to save the people from Corona virus. He distributed food to thousands of families in Khammam district. He also took steps to provide medical facilities to those sufferers from Corona. In general we come across such dedicated political leaders in rare occasions only. Even he has been continuing in BRS party, all political leaders from other parties like him very much and never hesitate to appreciate his philanthropic activities. Like that he became a person belong to all. In this situation no other party leader won’t show inclination to criticise Vaddiraju Ravichandra. If he remains’ in the party that is in power or in opposition party, there will be no change in affection shown by the political leaders.
He remains worthy of being treated with respect by everybody. There is a need for this generation to know about such leader who always stickup to his ideology. He had born in a village Inugurthi, Kesamudram Mandal, Mahabubabad district. He continued his studies in Warangal. At early age he took the responsibilities of his family. Later he gradually had grown step by step and finally settled in granite business. His granite business turned as his sir name. He is also continuing as president of Telangana Granite Association. He has also continuing as honorary President of the Munnuru Kapu united Association. Now he remains as affectionate leader for all Kapu cast people. All Kapu associations in Telangana now want his leadership. Now everybody wants him to remain as their leader. At present he is working hard to create political awareness among Back ward casts. Till 2018 he never joined in any party. With pressure mounted by Congress party he joined it and contested from Warangal East Constituency in 2018 elections. Unfortunately he lost the election. Later responding to the invitation from KCR, he joined BRS and elected for Rajya Sabha in 2022. Again he elected to Rajya Sabha in 2024
