Don’t forget the power cut days

KCR is responsible for today’s prosperity
Enlightenment is required in the leaders

Don’t forget the past. Today we are prospering well. But don’t forget the way, how we have fought to reach this stage. To experience this prospering state of Telangana, we struggled a lot in our previous period. We have to enlighten the present generation by letting them known about the process of struggle that had been taken place to achieve separate state. We must not forget our past. At the same time let not remain idle just by recollecting our past. KCR fought for Telangana and after achieving the state he solved the problem of power cut within three months of period. There is no loss if you forget the agony faced by the people of that time. But if you forget the loss occurred to Telangana at that time, it really a betrayal to the state. It clearly states your indifference towards the Telangana people.

Nobody is now present who contended, ‘What will happen if Telananga comes?’ Now the political unemployed persons are questioning ‘what we have achieved after the formation of the state?’ Really the Telangana People, who fought for the separate state, have been experiencing the prosperity and joy full life. Only those persons who want power, alleging the people are indifferent towards them. Now let us have look into the facts behind the continuous power supply in the state.

Exactly seven years back there was severe current problem in the state. Continuous power cuts made the life of the people miserable. Almost entire day time every house holder suffered with lack of power supply. There is no need to tell about summer season. When the situation in cities and towns is like this, there is no need to explain the condition in the villages. People in rural areas were unaware about the arrival of the current in night times. Sleepless nights are very common in those days. People suffered with oppressive sultry. This was the period; the people faced the hell in the hands of the rulers. This continued for a period of decade. When Telangana people resort to struggle for separate state, the leaders frightened them by explaining how continuous dark days they will experience if separate state is formed. They also threatened the people that they never see the current in their life if Telangana is formed. But power supply is needed in the every aspect of our life. For running the business, Xerox machines, for running the motors and for studying purpose…like this in every aspect of life current is needed.

Ten years back Telangana suffered with lack of power supply. Water supply greatly disrupted due to lack of sufficient power. In rural areas, no street light functioned due to lack of proper power supply. In such crisis period also, the rulers arranged meters for the farmer’s pump sets. Telangana was exploited with charging Rs.50 per horse power. In later period this also lifted and began to increase the power tariffs. There was continuous power shortage and farmers were unable to perform their farming activities. For sowing the seeds, for irrigating the land, water is required. But when there no power supply properly how can a farmer carryout his agricultural operations with confidence? This led to the fields to transform into waste lands. When farmers went to their fields in night times fell in victims for the snake bites. Everybody knows all these facts well. Telangana suffered with food scarcity, the fallow lands spread all over with lack of water. Especially farmers struggled a lot with lack of proper power supply. At the same time power charges hike was become a common process. Unable to pay the high power charges, lack of crop production in the absence of current supply, the agony faced by the farmers never be explained.

Nearly 14 hours power cuts every day! Then how the life of the people becomes normal? But now look at the power supply situation in the state. There are no power cuts. Continuous power supply is being given to the agriculture sector. Not only cities but also towns and urban areas in the state are shining with luster during night time. Now all the people had forgotten those dark days once prevailed. Since sixty years there was a continuous struggle to get undisrupted power supply. But how this problem solved within the three months of period after achieving the separate state? Who is responsible for it? Couldn’t think about this by the Telangana society? In the united Andhra Pradesh period, the industries in Hyderabad functioned only four days in a week. Remaining three days they used to be closed down due to lack of power supply. In the villages crop holidays were implemented. But today that problem is not there. For this achievement, only one person or we can say great leader is responsible. He is Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao.
