As poling date is nearing, the wind is gradually turning in favour of BRS in Medak constituency. United Medak is the home district of KCR and till now it being remained as strong hold for BRS. In2014 elections KCR elected from this constituency with a majority of more than four lakh and created record. Later Prabhakar Reddy won from here for two times. Now ex. Collector and MLC Venkatram Reddy is being contested from this Parliament constituency as candidate of BRS. Venkatram Reddy has good relation with Medak district. He worked as Group-I officer here and later he served as collector for Siddipet and Sirisilla districts. During his tenure as collector the construction of Mallannasagar and Ranganayakasagar reservoirs were under progress. Venkatram Reddy had the history of exertion for successful completion of these two reservoirs. He received good reputation among people of Medak as efficient officer. He also has good name for implementing the government schemes and programmes in successful manner. Where ever worked he received rewards and awards for this excellent performance. He is well interested on social service. He always tried to help poor for their uplift. As an employee in higher position, he always thinks about the welfare of the poor. In previous being collector he rendered his services to Siddipet district in utmost efficient manner. Now this ex. Collector contesting the Medak Parliament seat as a candidate of BRS party. His relentless services came to the notice of KCR who asked Venkatram Reddy to resign his post and made him MLC. Being gain the recognition as efficient leader and worker Venkatram Reddy might have become minister if BRS came to power in previous Assembly elections. KCR definitely utilises the services of such efficient officer who has got good experience on public works. There was extensive discussion on Venkatram Reddy during previous Assembly elections. Now KCR selected him as candidate of the party to contest from Medak.
Really speaking Medak is nothing but a strong fort for BRS. After the formation TRS this Parliament seat won by this party for more times than any other party. After the formation of Telangana State, BRS won this seat for three times. KCR who lead the Telangana movement, launched his agitation from Medak district only. Later he transformed this district as strong fort for BRS. In previous Assembly elections BRS won in majority seats from this district. In this situation no other party has chance to win this seat where victory is very easy for BRS. Understanding their disadvantage position in the district, opposition parties played mental game against BRS by politicizing the meeting with employees by Venkatram Reddy. They made a complaint against this meeting to the Election Commission. Responding to this complaint Election Commission suspended some of such employees who met Venkatram Reddy. Then ‘Netidhatri’ stood in favour of those employees and wrote stories on this issue pointing the fault in the decision of the Election Commission. After seeing the stories published in Netidhatri, employees immediately went to Court against this decision. After hearing the arguments Court issued orders in favour of employees. With this employees turned against BJP and Congress and moved in favour of BRS.
KCR and ex minister Harish Rao have good hold on Medak district. Before Telangana movement, KCR strived hard to develop Medak district in all sectors. After the formation of Telangana, KCR and Harish both concentrated on the development of Medak that caused total transformation of district. Nobody expected such development that turned the district into rice bowl. Before that, dry climatic conditions along with persistent water problem continued for years together made the district into draught porn region. Such district now stands in forefront in overall development. Really this contribution goes to KCR and Harish Rao. At the same time being collector Venkatram Reddy has done everything for the development of the district. This also made the people to receive him with respectful manner. Now majority MLAs from the district are belong to BRS party. Siddipet, Gajwel and Sangareddy Assembly Constituencies lay under Medal Parliament Constituency. These three constituencies are strong hold for BRS. So in these elections it is said that Venkatram Redddy going to win with bumper majority. In previous Assembly Elections People gave chance to Congress which made them to suffer within three months of coming into power. People are voluntarily revealing these facts to media. During the tenure of KCR there were no power cuts. Quality electricity supply provided to people without any interruption. Congress came to power and current shortage began. Sometimes people alleging that due to power cuts, their crops dried up lack of sufficient water.
Irrespective of adverse conditions those prevailed, Medak district sent number of prominent leaders to the Parliament. Ex. Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who faced defeat in North India, got elected from Medak constituency and entered the Parliament. When Indira Gandhi defeated in Amethi constituency, Medak protected her prestige by giving her victory in elections. Then MP Bagareddy withdraw himself and gave chance to Indira Gandhi to contest which made her to emerge victorious in the elections. Still she never bothered about Medak. KCR only the leader who became successful in making no place for Congress in the state for having been deceived Telangana. Like that Medak became strong hold for BRS. Now Harish Rao took the total responsibility of the district and working hard to win the seat. Harish has campaigning in favour of Venkatrami Reddy who received by the people with love and affection. They are giving assurance to make win Venkatram Reddy in these elections. Congress is facing anti wave because of its failure in providing water and current after coming to power. In overall BJP and Congress lost their hopes on Medak seat.
