Some incidents in politics make us to feel wonder. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy family has good reputation in Khammam district. Along with running the business, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has been participating in active politics. Maintaining the balance in between these two professions is not easy. Business requires keen observation where as in politics service occupies important place. To utilise hard earnings of business in service activities, one must possess humanitarian outlook. Ponguleti family developed in business and has been indulging in various service activities to the society. Till 2014, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy known to Khmammam people only. During 2014 Parliament elections he won Khammam seat contesting as YSRCP candidate. From then onwards he came in to limelight and everyone in Telangana began to show keen interest on Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. Since then he became strong leader in Telangana for YSRCP. Being the supporter of united Andhrapradesh, winning the seats in Telangana elections is not easy. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy also succeeded in winning two more MLA seats for the party. With these victories Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy became a strong political leader in Khammam district. From then onwards Khammam district politics have been revolving around him. Unfortunately KCR failed in assessing the strength of Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy in the district.
KCR who is well known as Chanikya and political Stalwart also committed serious mistake in recognising the importance of Ponguleti Srinvas Reddy and continue to neglect him caused the party to pay heavy price in elections. BRS faced heavy losses during previous Assembly elections. Losing such a strong leader in the district is a great mistake committed by KCR. KCR wanted to spoil the political career of Srnivas Reddy, but he proved his strength and ability in the elections and made understand how his presence is such an importance. Srinivas Reddy successfully prevented the revival of TRS in Khammam district. Everybody knows well how Srinivas Reddy played key role in making Congress to emerge victories in the district. At the same time his brother Prasad Reddy also had an important role in back ground for the revival of Congress. Along with Srinvas Reddy politics, Parasad Reddy hard work made the Congress to show its strength in the district. So, Party workers expressing their strong desire to give Congress ticket to Prasad Reddy in coming elections. Parasad Reddy proved himself that he is not less in playing politics along with his brother. At the time of Srinivas Reddy joining the Congress party, he looked after everything to make the meeting grand success. At outside Srinivas Reddy politics known to everybody but in background Prasad Reddy silently control the political situation in the district. The coming Parliament elections became very much important for Congress party. Otherwise we can say that it is life or death issue to the grand old party. At the same time, for successful implementation of Revanth Reddy assurances given during election campaign, Congress party must come into power at Centre. Then it will possible for Congress to rule the state for another ten years. In these circumstances Congress party shall move its steps in very much careful. If it commits any mistake, all expectations become topsy turvy and ultimate result is loss of seats! To avoid such embarrassment, party workers strongly demanding to give Khammam MP ticket to Prasad Reddy. Congress party High Command entrusted the responsibility on Ponguleti Srinvas Reddy to get higher number seats in Telangana. Prasad Reddy is back bone to his brother. If party gives ticket to him, it will become very easy for the party to reach its goal regarding number of seats to win. Now Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has good reputation at High Command. So it is not difficult for him to get party ticket for his brother. All knows well that if Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stand in fray war turn in one side.
If we observe the resent happenings in Khammam politics are turning in favour of Ponguleti. Early everybody expected that Sonia Gandhi will contest the Khammam Seat. But she elected to Rajyasabha from Rajasthan. So now she can’t contest the Lok Sabha elections. Later some news spread that Priyaanka Gandhi will contest from this seat. That also not became true. Renuka Choudary who thought herself whole and sole of the party in Khammam district now been sent to Rajaya Sabha. If we look all these circumstances, gradually entire political wind in Congress has been turned in favour of Ponguleti. Now Poguleti Srinivas Reddy has no opponents in the district. But one issue suddenly came into limelight that Nandini wife of Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka also has an eye on Khammam party ticket. Everybody thought this cause a major fuss over a trivial matter but it subsided as per the information from congress people. At the same time as per the unofficial information received, Srinivas Reddy got assurance from High Command to get ticket for his brother Prasad Reddy. The field level tours already started by Prasad Reddy have been creating some buzz among the workers that ticket might have confirmed to him. We can translate these tours as his campaign for the elections. Being brother of Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Prasad Reddy till now did not come into main stream politics. He always worked for his brother at field level. Raghava Constructions business is owned by Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. Now this business activity is being looked after by Prasad Reddy. The family of Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy is combined one. This family now has been running 9 types of businesses. Prasad Reddy is acting as director for all these business operations. In reality, Prasad Reddy is being concentrated on business while Srinivas Reddy busy in politics. When Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy became MP, Parasad Reddy now has been maintaining the business as well as politics. All the requirements at field level have been looked after by Prasad Reddy.
