The dismantling process of row houses in Chitrapuri has now begun. This is the live proof that final win of justice. ‘Netidhatri’ relentless struggle to bring justice to workers now started giving fruitful results. Entire this dismantling process is being continued because all of such constructions proved illegal. Since the beginning of this felling down of row houses, cine workers continue to express their gratitude to Netidhatri on telephone. They are praising the efforts of ‘Netidhatri’. Since years, only ‘Netidhatri’ continued its struggle in favour of poor cine workers and against the cine hawks. No other media house concentrated on this issue and showed their indifferent attitude treating it as very small issue. Now the cine workers are telling their congratulations to ‘Netidhatri’ for getting success in its relentless struggle for the cause of justice to them. If this process continues and finally if they get their houses, entire credit goes to ‘Netidhatri’, said the workers with blissful eyes. Really speaking all the row houses constructed in ‘Chitrapuri’ is illegal and since years ‘Netidhatri’ has been continued its struggle against such buildings. At the beginning some people threatened ‘Netidhatri’ and warned to face attacks if continue such writings on ‘Chitrapuri’. ‘Netidhatri’ didn’t care and never stopped its stories in depth on these illegal occupations and exposed the facts behind them. ‘Netidhatri’ didn’t lose its confidence and continued its struggle in favour of workers.
Even in late justice occurred
False hood may get success at the beginning but final win will be for justice only. Such win remains permanent and gives full of happy and bliss those who fought against injustice. This is fact that has been shown by ‘Netidhatri’. Actually this land allocated by then Chief Minister late Vijayabhaskar Reddy when famous film actor Prabhakar Reddy approached him. In those days entire film industry was in Madras. Once, this city remained as capital for united Madras state in which present Andhra Pradesh was also part of it. Being nearer Andhra region, entire film industry was dominated by Andhra people. There were meagre chances for the actors of Telangana. This region remain distance away from Madras also one of the reasons for the absence of Telanganga actors in film industry. In such circumstances actor Prabhakar Reddy thought if film industry shifted from Madras to Hyderabad then Telangana actors and skilled people also get some chances. For this purpose they require shelter. The workers belong to various departments in the film industry residing in Madras. Shootings were being taken up either in Andhra region or in the studios located in Madras. If they shifted to Hyderabad, it will become easy for film industry to shift from Madras. This was the reason behind the efforts of Dr. Prabhakar Reddy. Finally his efforts gave fruitful results in the form of allocation of 69 acres land for cine workers by then Congress Government under the leadership of Kotla Vijaybhaskar Reddy. At that time almost all cine actors who belong to Andhra regions settled in Madras and expressed their reluctance to shift from there to Hyderabad.
Workers also have not shown interest
When this proposal came into limelight, workers had not shown any interest to shift Hyderabad because of fear of losing their income. In such situation Prabhakar Reddy came forward to give some of his own land for the purpose of house sites for workers. Then already government allocated some land for the constructions of cine studios. With the efforts of Prabhakar Reddy fulfilled and finally government allocated 69 acres for house sites of cine workers. Then cine workers formed a society with Rs.50 and Rs.500 membership fee. At that time the eyes of some cine hawks fell on these sits and began their trails to grab some land from this ‘Chitrapuri’ society. While allocating the land then Government made it clear that, this is only meant for cine workers but not for others. At the same time it also made clear in its issued G.O. that the mode of constructions should by apartments but not individual houses. Then these so called cine elders persuade the concerned officials to get permissions in any manner. Some officials and politicians who were fans for fascinate cine industry either knowingly or unknowingly gave permissions in the name of apartments. The cine hawks deceived the officials by saying G+, G++ and constructed 225 row houses. Since the beginning there was strong opposition on these illegal constructions. Cine workers continued their struggle in silent manner but unfortunately nobody bothered them. All their efforts to prevent those constructions left in vain. Unfortunate thing is that those who exposed themselves to fight in favour of cine workers remain silent after receiving some plots.
This is only the beginning
Since years ‘Netidhatri’ continued its relentless struggle in favour of cine workers and against the injustice caused to them. Finally now officials started dismantling the row houses. This is only beginning. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy formed ‘HYDRA’ with the aim to dismantle the illegal constructions and to protect the government and GHMC lands. Now ‘HYDRA’ entered into field and began its action. Everybody from the bottom to higher official knows well that all these row houses are illegally constructed. Congress party also gave its assurance before elections to solve this problem and cause justice to cine workers. Revanth Reddy also gave assurance to workers to cause justice to them. Now ‘HYDERA’ formed by the government began its action. Here one thing is important. Simply dismantling some of the row houses is not enough. All row houses should bring down. Till then ‘Netidhatri’ continue its relentless struggle. Justice for cine workers is the main aim of ‘Netidhatri’.
