At present in Congress Revanth domination has been continuing. As Chief Minister and TPCC President he is successfully running the party and general administration without facing any hassle. In general in any party the main leader wants to continue his domination and never wants allow others to interfere in decision makings. For outsiders it looks like that leader moving forward with maintaining intimacy with fellow leaders but the decisions taken by him only finally get implemented. In Congress Party the leader who has authority never wants others involvement. At the same time he doesn’t want to lose his position. He wants to continue till people confidence remains on him. At the same time he always tries to retain his post by breaking the previous records. During united Andhra Pradesh rule, the period is divided into two parts. One is before 2004 and after 2004 is another one. Displeasures and shaking incidents are very common in Congress party. We can’t see Congress without these two. It is general say that Congress could not be defeated by other parties. It defeats by itself! Before 2004 any leader how much he may be powerful, within short period the other leaders inside the party start their politics to topple the government. In 1971 when Congress party came into power with absolute majority, P.V. Narasimha Rao became the Chief Minister. Unfortunately the internal crooked politics did not allow him to rule the state more than one and half year. P.V. Narasimha Rao failed to rule the state for full term even party had full majority but was successful in running the Central Government under his leadership even party fell in minority situation. This trend totally changed after 2004 when Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy became the Chief Minister. During his tenure, YSR successfully controlled the internal troubles. He made all other leaders to be in control. From then onwards topple politics gradually disappeared in the Congress party.
P.V. Narasiamaha Rao was unable to tackle the state politics due to powerful decent politics whereas he became successful as Prime Minister of India by introducing the liberal policy with economic reforms. In 1989 Marri Channa Reddy brought the party into power with his ability but for his unfortunate remain in power only for 13 months. After that Congress high command never allowed him to get involve in state politics and continued as Governor for the states like UP and Tamil Nadu. Like that he was prevented by other Congress leaders to enter in the state politics. Any way that is past. YSR changed this situation. Really speaking YSR was main cause for changing Chief Ministers in united Andhra Pradesh. At the same time he is only the leader who played his politics to continue in power for five years! To become Chief Minister was two decades dream of YSR. He had made failure attempt to become Chief Minister in the year 1989. Even in 1999 also he failed to fulfil his dream. Then he took entire politics in his hands and made ‘padayatra’ to gain favour of the people. If YSR had not went on ‘Padayatra’ Congress might not have came into power. Even then also senior leaders in Congress party continued their antagonism against YSR and tried their level best to create obstacles to him. They spread propaganda that YSR was main cause for the defeat of the party in 1999 elections. Sustaining all this negative atmosphere, YSR successfully brought the Congress party into power with his Cherishmatic Padayatra. Till then Y.S. Hanumanth Rao who continued to be a strong opponent of YSR, remain in silent after the party came into power. From then onwards he changed his tune and began prising YSR. Now Revanth Reddy also doing the same thing and continue his politics in single handed manner. Now Revanth become unopposed leader in Congress. When joined in the party is not important. Who brought the party into power is important. With this motto Revanth successfully kept all seniors aside.
In reality Congress seniors objected the entry of Revanth Reddy into the party fold but high command allowed him. Immediately after joining, Delhi leadership made him as working committee President. Even then also seniors did not stop their attack on Revanth Reddy. Those leaders also tried their level best to prevent Revanth to become TPCC president ultimately failed. After that also they never stopped their harassment on Revanth. He patiently tolerated the negative behaviour of seniors. Gradually their teasing made him to grow in strong. Whenever Revanth made a comment, immediate counter came from his own party not from other parties. After became TPCC president, by-elections held for Huzurabad Assembly segment. Congress candidate Balmuri Venkat got only 3000 votes. In previous elections Padi Koushik Reddy who contested from this seat got 60000 votes. The by-election results turned as weapon for seniors to make sever their attacks on Revanth. After that in Dubbaka by-elctions also Congress lost. Then the demand for resignation of Revanth became strong from the senior leaders. In those days Revanth wanted to tour in Medak district. Immediately Jagga Reddy responded with anger that ‘how he can decide about tour without intimating me?’ At one stage seniors alleged that Revant bought PCC President Post but Revanth never responded and continue to remain in cool. At one stage Komati Reddy brothers issued ultimatum to Revanth not to enter into Nalgonda district. As time goes on, sustaining all such antagonisms within the party, Revanth continued his attacks on KCR. Finally he decided to move on Padayatra in Telangana. Even Sharmila also made satires on Revanth decision. With his bold decision Revant started his padayatra and successfully completed it which helped the party to come into power. Revanth Reddy like leaders who have a specific goal definitely reaches their goal. Those who play opportunistic politics could be able to rise up to some level. In rare cases some may get opportunities, Kirankumar Reddy remains the best example for luck, which favoured him in the form of Chief Minister Post. But Revanth Reddy is not like that. He struggled to become strong leader. He faced all types of opposition and became success after overcoming all such hurdles. His main aim is to become Chief Minister. On so many occasions he exposed his wish without any hesitation. Now his dream becomes true.
