It is not such an easy task for a leader to stand alone to create an impact on the lives of lakhs of people. This can’t be achieved by all leaders and it is very difficult for them to create impact on political system because it requires unbent dedication on reaching the goal. Those who are in political life, require more number of peoples support. Generally the people always observe their leader in unique angle which confined to themselves. So it is highly difficult for any leader to win the hearts of people who posses their own qualities in assessing the nature of their leader. So the life style of political leaders must be like an image in mirror and every step put forward must be in very careful manner. Really speaking, today it is seen that almost every leader how has been struggling to survive playing his own style of politics. In such circumstances leading and putting in track the political career of other leaders remain an uphill task for any leader who wants to show his statesmanship. It requires lot of self confidence and ability of dominating the politics of opponent leaders. Then only a leader not only can win the hearts of people but also create some confidence among them. The politics played by an able leader always creates some fear among opponents on their success in politics. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy is such leader who vowed to dismantle the strong fort of opposition party in the district and finally got success in doing so. When did enter in politics is not important. How much impact he created is most important. Within a short span of time of entry into politics and rouse to the level of strong leader, shows the ability of Ponguleti and how he put all his efforts to reach this level. Now he proved himself as a leader of determination and got the name as people’s leader.
It is not that easy for a leader to stand in strong taking a vow to dismantle entire fort of his opponents. In 2104 Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy emerged victorious contesting as YSRCP candidate for Khammam parliamentary seat. Sometime after winning the seat he joined in TRS and put his all efforts for making the party strong in the district. His relentless efforts transformed the district as strong hold for party. Party leadership also utilised his services and always used to tantalize him for better future in the party. At the same time party leadership encouraged second group in the district and intentionally wanted to weaken Ponguleti. With this attitude of party leadership, Ponguleti lost his ten years of political career. Finally he felt frustrated with the political games of the party leadership and decided to join in Congress. After joining in Congress he took the vow to defeat all BRS candidates in the district and get succeeded in his efforts. With this in 2023 Assembly elections BRS totally wipe off from the district. The selfless efforts of Ponguleti got the support of god who is in the form of people. Not only BRS collapsed in the district but also it lost power in the state. BRS leaders again made their unsuccessful efforts to make rejoin Ponguleti into the party fold. Instead Ponguleti made the Congress much strong in the district which is almost remaining in death bed. When he joined Congress he assured the party leadership to make it strong enough in the district and finally kept his promise. For this purpose he struggled hard to enlighten the people turn towards Congress.
Now he has no opposition in Khammam district. Any leader who want to play politics against him means, such leader has to think twice regarding this. In recent Parliament elections BRS and BJP parties struggled to select suitable candidates to contest Khammam district because almost every leader in the district reluctant for doing so because they know the ultimate result. Even now the candidates of those parties are contesting in nominal form because they already came to one conclusion that defeat is only the ultimate result they are going to face. Immediately after conclusion of Parliament elections in the state, all the political leaders were talked first about Khammam district. They know well that under the stanch leadership of Ponguleti, winning this seat is confirmed to Congress. Even before elections, BRS and BJP leaders had not shown any interest to contest the seat by looking Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy who is strong and irresistible leader whom they can’t face in the elections. Both parties’ leaderships finally succeeded in convincing the present candidates to contest in order to protect the prestige of those parties. Even though they had filed their nominations, were not shown any enthusiasm to do campaign in favour because the ultimate result is already known to them. Even BRS sitting MP Nama Nageswar Rao also didn’t come forward to contest, but unable to sustain the pressure from KCR he finally accepted. In recent period, we don’t find any leader such Ponguleti Srinvas Reddy who kept total political grip in his hands. Once, YS Rajasekhar Reddy had done like this by successfully keeping the Kadapa district politics in his hands. From there he raised as believable leader in the hearts of people. Now Ponguleti has also moving in the same direction. At present he concentrated on the development of the district.
Now he has been concentrating on making the district as strong hold for the Congress party. BRS lost its every foot print in the district. At the same time Ponguleti is totally concentrating on administration and want to revamp the departments. Especially he is putting his efforts to eliminate corruption from Revenue department. Recently the incidents relating to the officials caught in red handed gradually increasing. These results have been caused by action taken by Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy. Now officials in this department are utmost careful in doing their duties. Tens of officials belong to this department facing actions for their involvement in corruption practices. Now it is appearing consistent fear in the department even to raise the word ‘bribe’! This is the result of actions taken by Ponguleti as minister. Now he wants to be remains role model for other ministers in eliminating the corruption. At the same time the politics he has been playing is also very much impressive in nature for those who want to become a successful leaders.
