The Centralized Community Kitchen will provide Breakfast to 28,000 School Children across 312 Government Schools.

The Nutritional Breakfast Scheme for Government School children has been launched in Kodangal, Vikarabad District. This initiative will benefit approximately 28,000 students from 312 Government Schools across Kodangal, Bomraspet, Dudyal, and Doulatabad Mandals in Vikarabad District, as well as Gundumal, Kosgi, Kothapally, and Maddur Mandals in Narayanpet District. The breakfasts will be prepared and distributed from a newly constructed Centralized Kitchen. The inauguration of the Centralized Kitchen and the commencement of the Breakfast Programme were graced by Hon’ble Cabinet Ministers Sri Damodar Rajanarasimha, Sri D. Sridhar Babu and Sri Jupally Krishna Rao in the presence of various Dignitaries and Guests and was Presided by Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, President – Hare Krishna Movement and Smt. Michelle Dominica, Head of India CSR and Administrative Services, Viatris. This state-of-the-art Centralized Community Kitchen utilizes modern technology and advanced production practices to provide hot, nutritious breakfasts on all school working days.
This Kitchen is a joint effort of the Government of Telangana and various renowned organisations as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The Government of Telangana allocated 22,000 sq. ft of space for setting up of a shed for Centralised Community Kitchen at its Agricultural Market Yard at Kodangal. Breakfast will be provided by Viatris for 28,000 students studying in 312 Government Schools for a period of 1 year. Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) generously contributed towards Kitchen construction. Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation (HKMCF) will be implementing the Breakfast Program from this Kitchen and Telangana Social Impact Group (T-SIG) coordinated towards the funding requirements of this Noble Project.

The event began with all the Dignitaries and Guests taken for the Kitchen tour by the key functionaries of the Foundation and were explained about the whole cooking processes and were also introduced to the advanced technology and various facilities that were put to use efficiently in designing the Kitchen.
The Free Breakfast Program is primarily concentrated in providing hot, tasty and nutritious Breakfast to the underprivileged children of Government Schools, and thereby not only providing nutritious and balanced diet, but also aiding in enrichment of the underprivileged children by fostering optimal growth and development.
The Hon’ble Cabinet Ministers conveyed the Message of Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy garu that betterment and development of society can only happen through quality education and introduction of Breakfast Scheme in Government Schools would compliment the efforts of the Government in achieving this objective. They appreciated the humanitarian and charitable services of Hare Krishna Movement, particularly in the
field of providing nutritious and healthy food to school students and other beneficiaries and also particularly thanked Smt. Michelle Dominica, Head of India CSR and Administrative Services, Viatris, for their generous contribution and wished all success for the implementation of this Noble initiative.

The Centralized Community Kitchen uses the latest of technologies to cook food by which Rice for 1,000 students can be cooked in 15 minutes and tasty Sambar for 5,000 students can be prepared within 2 hours. Idli making machine can produce around 1020 hot Idlis in 15 minutes and similarly Puri making machine can produce 2000 Puris in one hour. Further, the Kitchen uses the Bio waste that is produced during the process for making Bio-Gas, the water used for cooking is treated in a RO Plant, and also there is a Boiler Plant and Gas Bank along with an Effluent Treatment plant for effective waste treatment. To ensure that the food cooked is not only hot and hygienic, but also tasty, Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation has designed varieties of Menus for every single day.
