Some decisions taken by the ruling parties resemble the boon of ‘Bhasmasura’. During elections they use to incite the feelings among the people. Unemployment problem is more in our country at the same time regional sentiments also remain in high. In general people use to look for favourable decisions from the rulers those benefits them financially. But the political leaders use to give impractical assurances during elections and come to power. After that real problems will starts for them to implement their assurances. In the course of time they will continue circus feats in order to overcome the problems in implementing them. Without thinking about the outcome, giving assurances causes for such problems. Now same thing has been facing by the Karnataka Congress government. Before elections, party gave assurance to provide employment for locals in Private Sector. Without thinking about pros and corns simply it gave this assurance to the people and now not only it is facing problem but also creating new problem to private sector employees with its irresponsible statements. Government shall have an idea that software is totally different from other private businesses. IT companies working style is totally different to the other private sector companies. If it is pharmacy sector then there some meaning because benefits and loss are same from establishing such companies in a particular area. So then it is reliable for the government to give assurance to provide employment for the local people to rectify their loss. During elections one of the assurances given by Congress is to provide employment for local people in IT sector. It also prepared to introduce a bill regarding this. This action of the government created negative repercussions and turned into boomerang. When heard about the decision to be taken by the government it is learnt that so many IT companies thinking to leave Bangalore to some other cities. When this news spread, now government made another mistake by announcing that it is proper to rise the working hours in private companies to 14 hours. Now it is creating lot of flutter among the employees. Recently Infosys chief made the same announcement and caused to uproar among the IT sector employees. His comment caused serious discussion among the people throughout the country. The created plague by this statement came down only after striking it off saying it is as his individual opinion. Later people also forget about it. Now the Karnataka Government followed the same route of Infosys chief and caused to create trouble.
Technical education changed the lives
Higher education, top positions in the companies have not causing any happy in the lives of present generation. Even a daily labour when he comes back to his home after finishing his work, sleeps peacefully without any anxiety. When come to software engineers till weak end every day they have to struggle with their office duties. Since the work from home started, their lives fell in lot of troubles. When we talk about software engineers in general our discussion concentrate on the high salary they are getting but never bother about the problems faced by them in their life. They have two weak end holidays but the companies making them to work that two days work in remaining five working days. Worldwide rules and regulations are being in force on working hours a day for either worker or an employee. Our country is not exception for it. In unorganised sector this time schedule is not appear but those workers also return back their home in the evening. When come to software engineers their working hours are horrible and their lives are not happy when compare to the workers in other sectors. They may not appear like a worker but they are doing hard work than an average worker in other fields. Companies are imposing on them to work 10 to 12 hours per day. In general in our country general working hours are eight hours. The State and Central Governments are implementing this time table only. With the advent of software these become ten hours. Youth also accepted because of two days weak end and plenty of salaries. We can say that the growth of software companies is directly proportional to the turn of youth towards it. Now it reached to a saturation point that number of companies became less compare to the number of youth seeking jobs in this sector. Ultimate result is the rise of unemployed and salaries gradually became lessen.
Now the plight of 14 hours working
The rulers who always have to take the decisions in favour of people, it is not good on their part to come into improper conclusions. When compare to those who work physically the people who indulge in mental work easily exhaust earlier. At the same time they will face lot of health problems. Without moving sitting for ten hours to work is the main problem. Even then companies increased another two hours work period. Then also software engineers have been working without raising any objections. The work from home is causing lot of mental problems for them. Only satisfaction they have is staying in home but more number of hours they have been working without having any idea of working hours. The pressure caused in profession not allowing them to spend some hours with their family members. While they were working in office they had some time to spend with their family which now they have lost that opportunity also. Till some period back companies did not pressurise their employees to come to office but now they have made compulsion to attend office for three days in a week. During the corona period most of the software engineers went to their native places. Now if it becomes compulsion for them to attend their offices. During this period their salaries are not increased. In these circumstances it becomes very difficult for them to come to Bangalore like cities where rents are raised to unbearable level. In these prevailing circumstances to pay all their salary for rent, now 14hours work time news causing them to fell in utter confusion. Such type of pressures may cause long term physical and mental health problems.
