Really speaking mining has become an illegal world and if observes granite mining is nothing but hell. Some poor people continue in this mining work even not caring for their lives. Some other people those who have lands just beside these mines without knowing the facts putting their lands in the hands of crooked business men and becoming victims of the play of land grabbing of mining mafia. It is unfortunate that farmers still have been becoming prey for the mining mafia who transformed into predators. In general quarries lies in faraway places where people movement is almost absent. Because of this reason, nobody knows what has been happening in such quarries. Except workers no other persons can enter into such mining places. There is no guaranty for lives of those people who dares to enter into such areas of mining rule. Accidents are very common in working places. Loss of life is also very common. How many of those workers lost their lives or how many are remaining out of total workers, getting such details is highly impossible. That to it is very difficult to reach such quarry place that located in thick forest area. This dangerous business is being run at the cost of number of innocent people where the mining mafia pockets remain full of profits but unfortunate innocent workers won’t get sufficient amount to eke out their lives. They won’t get share in the profits and it is not surprising that these workers don’t know about bonus. They work like bonded labour and lead measurable life.
In the name of granite, violation of rules is very common and mining mafia won’t care POT act. They always create hopes among common people and gets signature from them. For some time this mafia make them to experience lavishness. Finally they occupies such lands and through away such farmers on to the roads. No leader comes forward to give support to such helpless people. By giving their full support to mining mafia that helps them to grow much higher levels. For this purpose political leader receives plenty of amounts in the form of commissions. In this play, political leaders utilises the mafia like ATM and deceives the poor farmers. Mining mafia expects protection from law when ever problem arises. For this purpose they always want to keep political leaders in their hands. This is the main reason, for the payment of huge amounts to such leaders whenever they want. Even officials from bottom to top level also remain in favour of mining mafia for the want of commissions. The poor people who remain victims, never be able to step into police station to give complaint against such mafia. They can’t ask even officials for small help.
An ordinary person can’t meet Tahasidar of their region. Fed up with persistent losses if any small farmer kept his land into the hands of the mining business men, for want of more income, there ends the matter where his hope remain like oasis. Such lands never return to the possession of farmers. Even if they received their lands, they transformed into non cultivable one. This is the way how dealing with mining business men remain. As per the Government rules noot only mining business men but also other business people are not allowed to purchase assigned lands. Even knowing this fact mafia not caring the POT act and have been continuing their business on their own way in usual manner. For the protection of assigned lands there are number of powerful acts are in force. Unfortunate thing is that not only common people, even highly educated personalities also unaware of such acts. This is really an unfortunate thing. With irregular and illegal mining acts of mafia left the Elagandula tank totally destroyed. This tank is present in United Karimnagar district. Since seven decades water from this tank had been used for drinking purpose. Now the condition of this tank reached to measurable and there is lot of difference when compare to decade back tank. Now it is filled with full of dust and dirt.
This fresh water tank left like dirt pond. Why such important water tank turned into such measurable condition? Everybody knows the fact behind it. Really speaking involvement of those leaders in power in this business is the main cause for this evil plight. So nobody has dared enough to stop this illegal granite mining. Those leaders in power are the main cause for destruction of this water tank. The tank which once had been main source of drinking water for the people of this region now lost its identity because of blocked water resources from all around. Now people have been struggling for drinking water. The environment pollution caused by this granite mining caused serious health problems to the people. Like this the people of Karimnagar facing lot of hardships for drinking water. This illegal mining has caused for the destruction of lives of masses. Why spoiling the health of people and make campaign as they working for recovery of the people? In previous time business men always preferred in rightful business as per the legal formalities. But now situation completely changed. Preference for illegal business increased for want of more profits. This is the main reason for the plight of the people.
