Nobody will comes forward if they think the way they want to move forward consists prickly-pear and hard rocks. But those who firm on their goal to reach never care about the way whether it contains hard rocks and prickly-pear. If the goal reflects the people aspirations, such leaders move forward with crushing the thorns and removing the rocks in their way. Darkness never makes them fear. They cement the splendour to their fight. They never stop or take rest in their path. They remain as sculpture engraved by the society. Now Harish Rao is such leader. He spoke for Telangana not for his self interests. But today some people want to defame him. Even now know the fact and try to appreciate Harish Rao. Otherwise there is no meaning for your political career. Telangana movement continued for 14 years without any interruption. It was not ended in one or two days or two or three years. Harish Rao relentlessly continued in this movement in this agitation period. Others enjoying their life with their families, but he never bothered about his family. His only goal was to achieve separate Telangana. Whenever he happened to heard about martyr of any agitator immediately he rushed to that place and consoled deceased person families. He always stood in support of such families. Any Congress leader has done like this? During the movement no Congress leader dared enough to raise the slogan in favour of Telangana. They never fought for Telangana. They always gave preference for their political mileage. Now being in power, it is not good on their part to criticise the role of Harish Rao in agitation.
At present Congress leaders are concentrating to tarnish the image of Harish Rao. Those never appeared in Telangana movement also now raising their voices against Harish. Those never raise the slogan in favour of Telangana during movement now began to talk against Harish. They never paid tributes to those who martyred their life for the cause of Telangana. Criticising the real heroes like Harish Rao is not easy like coming to power telling false stories to the people. The power now they are enjoying is really bestow of Harish Rao. Because if observe entire the history of Telangana movement, after KCR, Harish Rao appears in the second position. Congress leaders have no right to speak on such long agitation. Really speaking no Congress leader has the right to speak on this Telangana movement. Awarding Telangana by UPA government was only the result of relentless fight of KCR and Harish Rao. This is the fact.
Fight and politics is the method followed by Harish Rao during Telangana movement. Like that he helped to move the agitation with great speed. He always followed the path of his uncle Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao. He is like a soldier in Telaganga movement who put forward his steps at early stage. Before launching the Telangana movement, he was also stakeholder in the team which prepared action plan for months together. We can say Harish Rao is the first worker for Telangana cause. Number of scholars came in support of KCR, but for the sake of party active part taken by Harish Rao only. At early stage KCR had relentless discussions; studies on how to move forward this movement. At this time the support extended by Harish Rao to KCR was highly valuable. Harish always implemented the decisions of KCR and followed him not only during the Telangana movement but also after coming to power in the state. Really speaking any young leader has dreams regarding to their family life, happiness and enjoyment. But if you observe the life of Harish Rao, till now entire his life filled with Telangana movement. His thoughts had been concentrated on aspiring Telangana. Since his young age his mind filled with the thoughts of Telangana. He roused observing the ideology of KCR and followed him. Naturally the impact of KCR ideology separate Telangana issue has been fixed in his mind. Along with this he also developed the attitude to mingle with Telangana people.
If you want choose path of fight you must possess strong will and dare. You must prepare to fight the adverse situations during the movement. To move in support of movement at young age it requires great wisdom. When KCR indulged in Telangana agitation in full time, Harish Rao also dedicated his life for the separate state movement. Harish Rao is a strong and successful leader to make outreach the slogan ‘Telangana is our birth right’ into the masses of Telangana. During Telangana movement I had great understanding about the working nature of Harish Rao. During agitation, preparing for elections is really posing a challenge. Because for every step there will be number of obstacles. The people who kept ready themselves to shed water on the movement makes very difficult for election campaign during agitation. When TRS MLAs opted for resignations, Harish Rao really faced tremendous pressure to overcome the difficulty caused by this situation. He took the entire responsibility to make those MLAs to emerge victorious along with him during elections. If any tilt in the balance, the movement may get out of control or government may suppress it. Along with it maintaining the balance with scholars and separatists is not easy.
Then government always tried to suppress the movement. The party office opened at Jaladrishyam was brought to ground by then Government. At that time the role played by KCR and Harish Rao was never forgettable. Countering the role of then politicians who were in power and opposition leaders along with protecting own leaders was not easy task. But Harish Rao played a critical role in overcoming all such obstacles created by then political leaders. For joining the number of leaders from various parties into TRS the role of Harish is great. Like that he became trouble shooter in the party. After the formation of TRS, during first Municipal elections, KCR was busy in campaigning. At that time Harish Rao became success in spreading the party in the villages of Telangana. For the first time KCR launched cycle journey from Siddipet to Warangal. At that time Harish Rao used to unveil the party flag in every village and followed the journey of KCR. This might be in the memories of those who participated in Telagnana movement. From ‘Simhagarjana’ public meeting held in Karimnagar to first meeting at Khammam after the formation BRS all meetings became grand success. The ‘Mahagarjana’ public meeting in Warangal marked huge success with the participation of 15lakh people. That public meeting still reamin as ‘hitory’ in the movement. After attaining the separate state, those who rouse to high levels, cost of Telangana lands rouse to crores of rupees, creating new employment opportunities…all these are result of Telangana movement which led by KCR and Harish Rao like leaders. So talking lessening the agitators is nothing but lessening ourselves. Criticising Harish Rao is nothing but contemptible action against Telangana movement. KCR and Harish Rao have such a great history. There is no place to doubt at all on this issue.
