Now entire Telangana is awaiting the arrival of one affectionate leader for them. Now the state people came to one conclusion that leader is enough for them for the overall development of the state. That leader is Bandi Sanjay. Till 2014 elections nobody knows the name of Bandi Sanjay except for Karimnagar district people. After that he had shown his capability of leadership and acquired the love and affection of all sections of the people in Telangana. During 2018 Assembly elections his name became very much popular among the people. The Karimnagar people know well his love and affection along with his statesmanship. For the protection of Hinduism he stands in forefront and he is always ready to serve the Hindu society. He never hesitates to face and challenge and move forward for those who have shown great belief on him. When he faced defeat during 2018 Assembly elections party cadre especially most of the people of Karimnagar district were not digested this happening. Entire party cadre fell in great anxiety. That was the time party high command also recognised his ability and leadership quality. From then onwards his political career graph moved in upward direction with great speed. Entire Telangana Society wanted the leadership of Bandi Sanjay. When won the Parliamentary seat of Karimnagar district party regained the life in the state. Once upon a time BJP remain in the state as tail of Telugudesam party. In 2014 elections BJP went to polls alliance with TDP and won 5 Assembly seats in the state. Then it was thought that without the support of TDP it is highly impossible for BJP to prove its identity in the state. Since 1999 to 2004 BJP was in power at centre. Even in this period BJP was unable to gain strong hold in Southern States. Likewise BJP had shown weak performance in united Andhra Pradesh. In Telangana region it has its traditional strong hold, which has not disrupted by any other party or leader.
During 1980s BJP had strong leadership in Telangana but they were unable to grow much stronger with the effect of United Andhra Pradesh leaders. When separate state was formed, leaderships formed separately for two Telugu States. This made the leaders in Telangana to exhibit their strength in the next series of elections. Unfortunately in 2018 Assembly elections BJP had shown its weak performance in the state. It went to polls without any alliance with TDP. Most of the political experts felt that without TDP the BJP couldn’t show its identity. Within three months after these Assembly elections, Parliament elections were held. Again in these elections BJP went on its own without making any alliance with any party. For everybody’s astonishment party won four MP seats and exhibited its real strength in Telangana. With this entire people focused their interest on BJP. Then Telangana state President Kishan Reddy who lost Assembly elections, had shown excellent performance by winning the Secunderabad Loksabha seat. After that he became state minister in Central Government. Then BJP required state president which became vacant, because of Kishnan Reddy’s promotion as Central Minister. Then the name of Bandi Sanjay came into limelight when the party high command made him as state president. With the advent of Bandi Sanjay party regained its life in the state. From then onwards Bandi Sanjay never stopped and continued his politics like hunting the other parties. In his three and half year’s tenure, KCR left with sleepless nights and always felt struggle to resist the foolhardiness of Bandi Sanjay. At that time Congress party was in almost in death bed. Nobody in the state had any hope on that party raise. Congress was suffering with lack of proper leadership in the state. At that time Bandi Sanjay with his hardihood, rose the party to the level where everybody in the state began to treat BJP is only alternative to BRS. When party high command had chosen Bandi Sanjay as state president everybody felt this decision is wrong and he has no capacity to organise the party at state level. There was prevailing opinion that without having political outlook in the state how he can run the party and resist the strong leader like KCR. Raghunandan Rao who had run his politics making Hyderabad as centre felt he will become the party president. Such leaders who expressed their dissatisfaction on the leadership of Bandi Sanjay later became wonder when saw his ability on making party stronger and rose the resistance capability against KCR.
At one time he took the party to a level that, it is not possible to resist the audacity of Bandi Sanjay. Every leader who underestimated him remained in silence. At that time by elections for Dubbaka Assembly seat came. Bandi Sanjay put all his efforts to gain victory in those elections against BRS which was considered as mountain. Bandi knows well that he has to encounter with hill like BRS. Still he didn’t turn in back foot and fought with applying his own style of strategy. His every movement and method of encouraging the party cadre not only attracted everybody but also had shown his leadership quality. Finally BJP won the election that made KCR to fell in full disappointment. Later Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections held. With the encouragement received with winning the Dubbaka seat, he exulted and created storm in these elections. He turned entire twin-cities with saffron flags. He visited every place in the city and mobilised the opinion of people in favour of BJP. He attracted the people with his road shows. Before Bandi Sanjay, National leaders of the party used to visit the city on rare occasions. Prime Ministers were also visited one or two times. But after the advent of Bandi Sanjay total situation had been changed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah continue to visit the capital city in frequent manner. Really speaking in between 2014 and 2019 Modi visited the city for one or two times only. But after Bandi Sanjay became party president they began to participate in various development activities and programmes organised by the state party. The frequency of visiting National Leaders to the city had shown considerable increase. Like that Bandi Sanjay worked hard to make strengthen the party. When he organised his ‘Sangramayatra’ welcomed the other states Chief Ministers of BJP to participate in the programmes. He used their services to campaign in favour of the party in the state. With the activeness of Bandi Sanjay National leaders also had shown their interest to visit Telangana. Opposition parties especially BRS had tried to create controversy on the comments made by Bandi Sanjay but ultimately failed. Bandi Sanjay gave number of victories to the party in the course of strengthening the party. He also attracted large folk of youth towards BJP. Not able to resist Sanjay BRS like parties wanted to damage him on ethical grounds. In this also they faced utter failure. Bandi Sanjay never cared the opposition plans against his leaderships and never deviated from the party ideology. Now there is great desire prevailing in the party fold to bring back Bandi Sanajay as state president along with continuing him as State Minister for Home at Centre.
