There are so many allegations on a higher official in medical department who spoiled entire system. His name is ‘Gadala Srinivas’. While he was working in the department, there were allegations on him about misappropriation of funds in large sums. The most employees of this medical department made strong allegations on him about misappropriating the funds received from Central Government. Some of them submitted their reports with proper proofs to then Government but no action had been initiated on him by then rulers who were in power. They had continued their indifferent attitude against the allegations came on him and began to give preference to him in the department. The preference was such a strong that, political bosses never bothered the complaints received against him. Some of the employees belong to this department explained in detail how his fraudulent activities are being continued but the political leaders never cared them. They have some hopes on this present Government under the leadership of Revanth Reddy may initiate action against Gadala Srinivas. Unfortunately till now there are no signs of actions since eight months already finished for this new government came into power. After the new government formation, some people submitted their allegation reports against Gadala Srinivas to Minister Rajanarasimha. Till now there are no signs of action on these complaints, which made gradually losing hopes which they expected at-least an enquiry might initiate by the government. S.Prasanna is one among such employees of this department who had submitted a detailed report on Gadala Srinivas fraudulent activities. She also mentioned his mischievous nature when worked in Kottagudem. At one stage she distributed pamphlets against his corruption practices and was able to prevent his entry into politics. She acted as a responsible employee with her affection on this medical department which all of her efforts till now left in vain with the indifferent attitude of the government. Now she explained in detail on the activities of Gadala Srinivas to ‘Neti Dhatri’. In previous she wrote letters to the government demanding to initiate an action against him by ordering CBI enquiry on his activities. She alleged that he got promotions, transfers and deputations in illegal manner and accumulated lot of wealth. Especially at the time of covid-19 crores of funds received from the government were misappropriated by him, she has shown the proofs for such allegations she made.
When Revanth Reddy was in opposition has made allegations against him. With this everybody expected that there will be definitely stern action against him under this new government tenure. Unfortunately at present total situation took twists and turns and finally the news regarding his voluntary retirement created storm in the department. Really this news made the employees to fell in deep astonishment. Everybody has been discussing that how this has had happened? If this news known to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy or not is also became a point of discussion among the employees. Especially when he has gone on foreign tour this voluntary retirement news spread like wild fire. If this happened without knowledge of Revanth then who is responsible for this? Is the big question to be raised? Suppose if this happened with the knowledge of the Chief Minister, it can be felt that government gave him clean chit. That means the exoneration given by the government that the allegations made likely to be flawed. Here one key point is that, how this decision of giving voluntary retirement is made in such a hurried manner? The new government has shown interest on taking actions against those indulged in fraudulent activities in irrigation and electricity department. Then why it is reluctant to concentrate on medical and health department especially on Gadala Srinivas who has been facing lot of allegations? This is the main issue of discussion inside the department. During the previous government tenure everybody knows well about the excessive action of Gadala Srinivas. Whenever he happened to visti KCR, he used to fell on his feet. Gadala Srinivas intentionally spread the news that he will be going to get the BRS ticket for Kottagudem constituency. At that time he used to visit Pragati Bhavan frequently to get complacent of KCR. With such attitude he not only spoiled the medical department but also accumulated antagonism of fellow employees. There are allegations that at that time he tried his level best to get voluntary retirement. Then his goal was to elect as MLC but fortune had not favoured him. After some time he got another opportunity in the form of Vanama Venkateswar Rao. With the affect of his son, it was clear that there was no chance for Vanama to get the party ticket. When Gadala Srinivas confirmed this news, he kept aside his duties and totally concentrated on getting the Kottagudem ticket from BRS. At the same time he himself spread the news of getting the ticket.
He used to perform pujas in various temples in Kottagudem. With the confidence of getting the BRS ticket, he began to visit all the prayer centres of different religions. At one time he said that with the grace of Jesus Christ, Corona left our country, while speaking in a Church. Like that he wants to get the support of Christians, Muslims and Hindus. Then he established one organisation in the name of ‘Gadala Foundation’ and tried to attract the youth of Kottagudem. In this course he collected the names and phone numbers of youth. Like that he used to spend his illegally earned money. Even then also fortune had not knocked the door of Gadala Srinivas. He didn’t get the BRS ticket. Immediately after new government formed under the leadership of Revanth Reddy, he tried to become close to Congress party but it is learnt that Chief Minister kept him in distance. In previous elections he tried for Parliament ticket where his efforts remain unfruitful. When everybody concluded that present government won’t allow him to become close and it is definite that an inquiry will be initiated against him. Unfortunately all of a sudden the voluntary retirement news spread like storm which left everybody in deep dilemma. When BRS was in power, ‘Gadala’ used to prise KCR like god. With the blessings of KCR he became DH. With the huge accumulated amount that earned through corruption practices, he wanted to make his political entry. An average government employee could not accumulate wealth worth of hundreds of crores even indulging in corrupt practices. It is unfortunate that the political parties to entertain such corrupt people which may create bad reputation among the people. Especially it is not good on this present government to allow voluntary retirement for this Gadala Srinivas. If it is true wrong signals will spread among the people. Now S.K.
