To attain power politicians used to request the people to give them one chance. To gain the favor of people they continue their agitations on the issues and even not hesitate to go to jail. BJP is not exception for this. Once it had only two seats in Loksabha. To gain strength in Loksabha it organised number of agitations for years together. Finally after forty years of persistent struggle it succeeded in gaining power in the Centre. Now there prevailing question among people that even after giving power successively what the centre is doing in favour of people? Is really BJP leaders are doing what they promised or what they said? This is the thinking now started among the people of the country. Where the slogan of getting 400 seats got failure is the issue that require deep analysis. Some BJP leaders are cautioning about this only. Even now the top leadership of the party is not showing any interest to take actions to set right the faults and make recover the party. A small crack may cause to sink a large ship. This fact is now surely applicable to BJP. Once there were tens of strong leaders in the party to talk about. As party is growing such leaders’ number also grown simultaneously. Now party gained sufficient strength to continue in the power. Unfortunately those who considered as strong leaders now remain in silent might because of satisfaction with the posts attained. Since a decade BJP remain in power with the cherishma of Narendra Modi. When he was Chief Minister of Gujarat, the state had shown unprecedented growth in all sectors. This caused to give birth to the slogan ‘Gujarat model’. The wide spread propaganda on Gujarat development of course it is true, gave much popularity to Naradra Modi and people of this country gave power to BJP in expectation of Gujarat model development. Since then Modi factor remains only main cause for the successive victories of the party, now no other leader even though once considered as strong personalities has taking chance to express their opinion. Such a strong Modi now remain centre in controversies is the key point to note.
On 26th, January 2001 when country was busy in Republic Day Celebrations, Gujarat faced terrible earthquake that caused to number of causalities. This incident had shaken the country. Gujarat is one among the places where earthquake incidents are frequent. When this earthquake occurred, then Chief Minister of the state was Kushubhai Patel. Then Centre was fell in utter confusion and finally decided to change the Chief Minister and give power to a strong one who can tackle the situation and help to restore normal conditions in Gujarat. For this purpose then central leadership, selected Narendra Modi and made him Chief Minister of the state. Then NDA government which is in power in Centre extended full support to Narendra Modi. At the same time Modi also put his all efforts for the development of the state and became success. At first he worked hard relentlessly to bring normalcy in Gujarat. Really speaking the credit for the development of this state goes to Narendra Modi. Even Congress which came into power in 2004 also continued its assistance to the earthquake hit state. This has always remained by Congress leaders. ‘We had important role in regaining the normalcy in Gujarat’ Congress leaders used to say. There may be reality in their telling. The full scale support extended by then UPA government under the leadership of Congress also caused for early recovery of Gujarat. At the same time being Chief Minister of the State within a short period he succeeded in gain recovery of Gujarat. Not only had that he also successfully kept the state as role model by reshaping it. This success made entire country to look towards Gujarat and crave for the leadership of Narendra Modi for the country. Country never bothered about other senior leaders in BJP except Narendra Modi. When contested for Prime Ministr for the country, entire people gave heartfelt welcome to him and in 2014 elections gave votes in favour of BJP. Entire people kept total confidence on him to make the country number one in all sectors. Especially Hindu society looked at him as icon. The UPA government that ruled the country in between 2004-2014 faced strong criticisms on its policies implemented. 2G-Spectrum like scams engulfed the government. Coal Scam also defamed the government. Then state minister of coal Dasari Narayana Rao also faced criticisms in this scam. The campaign against Congress reached to a level that it is nothing but a party of scams.
In 2014 elections BJP won 272 seats in loksabha and NDA alliance again came to power in centre. Narendera Modi became Prime Minister. In second time during 2019 elections BJP won 353 seats and became powerful one. In 2024 elections even it gain the power, its graph fallen when compare to previous. The Congress which was unable to gain the status of opposition leader in two tenures now got that chance. We can say that the downfall of BJP started now. In Loksabha, Modi just by telling short stories showing Rahul as student of 10th class who is unable to gain sufficient marks is not enough to convince people. When all the people have eagerly been looking towards the budget to be introduced by Government, now fell in deep disappointment after looking at it. Especially poor and middle class greatly disappointed with this budget. With this the trend now gradually moves towards Congress. Till now country people continue to bear the BJP government. Even though they gave power to it, they also voted in favour of strong opposition. This is a caution given by the people to BJP, expressing their discontent. Even though it appears no change in the attitude of BJP top leadership, the other leaders in the party are not in a position to question Narendra Modi. Now they are unable to speak about the downfall of the prestige of the party. The growing prices and the committing mistakes definitely causes for the down fall of the party. In recent elections BJP went into elections against its ideology and constantly making criticisms against the Congress. This attitude not only turned against the party but also increased favourability towards Congress. If BJP really has love and affection on poor and middle class it never impose tax burden on people. From water to medicines it increased taxes in abnormal manner. The budget survey clearly exposed the intention of the Government towards the business with China. Since coming to power BJP used to show China as devil and followed anti policies against it. But this budget survey showed the government love towards China in continuing the business. With this media reacted strongly against the Government. BJP real intention is to get votes from people not for the sake of the country. This report will create loss of hope among people against the government.
